Matthew Stephenson is a Behavioral Economist and the creator/seller of the first science NFT. On the academic side of things, he received an MSc in Economics from Warwick on a Fulbright/Bitcoin Scholarship and his PhD training at Columbia University. In 2018 NFTs blew his mind and he went full time into crypto, with early contributions including designing a Schelling point attack that helped win a $12m jackpot on the Ethereum Blockchain, and publishing a 2018 essay on NFTs for Science (recently included in a16z’s NFT Canon.) He is a native Montanan living in NYC.
